SAIL MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Welcome to the Qsails sail measurement guide, working through this will assist you in defining the requirements for your new sails such that we can supply you a direct quotation that can be easily and quickly converted into an order for early shipment directly from our loft.
   In order to carry out the various measurements it is recommended that you have the following items to hand:
- Hard (printed) copy of the relevant sections of this guide;
- Long Measuring Tape, at least as long as your mast;
  Length of Light Rope, at least as long as your mast;- Roll of Duck or Masking Tape;
- Pen/Pencil and Notepad.
This guide covers Mainsail measurements in Section 1 and Jib/Genoa measurements in Section 2, so please select the sections appropriate to your sail requirements.
Please do not estimate measurements – if for any reason you cannot take a particular measurement please enter N/A (rather than just leaving a blank) in the appropriate measurement record sheet.
Once you have completed your measurements please fill out the table at the end of the Mainsail or Jib/Genoa sections and email or fax the data to Qsails. |

P: Distance between the Top of the Boom and the Bottom of the Black Masthead Band.

A: Maximum distance from the Top of the Black Masthead Band to the Outside edge of the Boom Clew Black Band with the Boom at its Lowest position.
